讲座简介

The role of public leaders and managers is changing as we face challenging 21st century problems around the world. These problems require public administrators to work more directly and collaboratively with many different groups of people with diverse values and interests. This requires new skills and new mindsets for governing with people and public and private across sectors. Dr. Kirk Emerson from the University of Arizona US will talk about how important ethics for leaders today, how leaders face ethical dilemmas and make ethical decisions, and how to become ethical leaders.

主讲人简介

Kirk Emerson，美国亚利桑那大学政府与公共政策学院教授、美国公共行政科学院院士。主要从事协同治理、机构间合作和冲突管理，特别是与气候变化、公共土地管理和边境安全相关的冲突管理等方面的研究与实践。Emerson教授还担任了Perspectives on Public Management and Governance杂志主编，已出版著作Collaborative Governance Regimes，并在J-PART，Conflict Resolution Quarterly等权威杂志上发表过多篇成果。
